In
recent
years,
it
has
become
a
practice
that
the
release
of
all
biggies
movies
will
face
legal
problems
and
make
it
a
big
news.
Shahrukh
Khan's
Don
2:
The
King
Is
Back
is
not
an
exception
to
this
tradition.
An
appeal
has
been
filed
seeking
stay
on
the
movie
Don
2
alleging
copyright
infringement.
On
Wednesday,
Nariman
Films
and
Hirani
family
have
filed
an
appeal
challenging
the
single
judge's
order
and
seeking
a
stay
on
the
release
of
the
movie
Don
2.
They
have
claimed
that
the
makers
of
the
movie
have
violated
the
copyrights
by
adopting
the
Don
signature
tune,
songs
of
the
original
1978
movie
and
also
the
script
and
characters.
In
the
appeal,
Nariman
Hirani
family
claim
that
the
rights
for
remaking
Don
was
shared
in
2005
and
it
was
valid
only
till
2009.
But
they
state
that
the
Don
2
director,
producers
and
actor
Shahrukh
Khan
have
not
bought
any
rights
for
making
the
sequel.
They
have
claimed
damages
to
the
tune
of
Rs
200
crore.
However,
a
division
bench
of
Chief
Justice
Mohit
Shah
and
Justice
Roshan
Dalvi
kept
the
appeal
for
hearing
today
(22nd
December).
The
movie
Don
2
is
slated
to
release
in
the
theatre
on
23rd
December
and
all
the
preparations
for
it
have
been
done.
Now,
it
should
be
seen
whether
the
movie
will
be
delayed
or
released
on
time.
