Sudhir Mishra files complaint against Payal Rahotgi

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who is known for his films Dharavi, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Chameli has lodged a complaint against actress Payal Rohatgi in the police. Mishra has alleged her of sending him threatening messages.

The filmmaker got text messages from Payal, a few days ago, after which he lodged a complaint against her at the Versova police station. The Deputy Police Commissioner KMM Prasanna told PTI, “Following the complaint, an inquiry has been initiated into the matter. After inquiry, if required a case would be registered against Payal."

A few days ago Payal Rahotgi was in news for accusing filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee of making indecent propositions towards her. According to Payal, director Mishra rubbished her allegations against Banerjee and supported him. This irritated Payal and she started sending threatening messages to the director asking him to stop supporting Dibakar.

Rohatgi's publicist Avantika Sinha told PTI that Payal the messages sent to Mishra were not threatening at all. She added, “Even if he found them threatening, why did he take 12-13 days to register a complaint. The last message Payal sent was on March 22. Earlier, when Sudhir supported Banerjee, Payal sent those messages to which Sudhir apologised to Payal, saying he would not poke his nose further."
