Vidya-Emraan to get comfortable over dinner

Actress Vidya Balan and actor Emraan Hashmi who were not formally introduced to each other till now will now take time out to and get comfortable with each other. Director Milan Luthria has invited them to his home for a Parsi dinner meet this weekend.

Vidya and Emraan are the lead actors of the film The Dirty Picture, they have to share a palpable chemistry on-screen for the film. The director Milan therefore is making sure that both of them get comfortable with each other of-screen so that it reflects to their on-screen chemistry in the film The Dirty Picture. He says that both Vidya and Emraan are very keen on working with each other, but have not shared conversations except for a cordial hello.

Giving more details about the roles of Vidya and Emraan in The Dirty Picture, director Luthria told Mid Day, "Vidya plays an actress while Emi a filmmaker. Their relation is extremely volatile and they are at loggerheads. They are on opposite sides morally and can't stand each other yet gravitate towards each other. I felt that to be able to portray such intensity on screen both needed to interact with each other in advance so as not to appear awkward on screen."

Milan will arrange for a Parsi home-cooked meal (Luthria's wife the Parsi connection here). The director says that he believes in keeping his private life intact, very less people from the industry including Ajay Devgn and John Abraham have visited his home. Meanwhile, he explains that the homely environment of the house will help Vidya and Emraan start off a great chemistry.
