Tabla
maestro
Zakir
Hussain's
name
has
been
removed
from
Bejoy
Nambair's
Shaitan,
releasing
this
Friday.
Reportedly,
it
was
a
controversial
scene,
wherein
VJ-actor
Neil
Bhoopalam
uses
Hussain's
name
to
distract
his
mother's
attention,
when
she
walks
in
on
him
in
a
compromising
position.
The
director
says
that
though
the
scene
hasn't
been
removed,
the
background
music
in
the
scene
has
been
increased
to
cover
up
the
word
'Zakir
Hussain'.
The
sequence
features
Neil
masturbating,
when
his
mother
suddenly
walks
in
and
to
distract
her
attention,
he
pretends
to
be
searching
for
a
music
CD.
The
scene
hears
him
saying,
“Mil
gaya
Zakir
Hussain'.
The
scene
was
not
accepted
by
the
Censor
Board,
who
asked
the
makers
to
remove
the
scene.
There
was
another
chasing
sequence,
which
featured
posters
of
Shiv
Sena
leaders
and
Balasaheb
and
Uddhav
Thackeray.
The
director
informed
that
Balasaheb's
pictures
have
been
removed
and
Uddhav's
posters
have
been
blurred
to
keep
out
controversies.
Bejoy
is
very
satisfied
with
his
film
getting
an
A-certificate.
Though
he
wanted
an
U/A
rank,
he
has
accepted
the
A
certificate.
Shaitan,
stars
actress
Kalki
Koechlin,
Rajeev
Khandelwal
and
Shiv
Pandit
among
others.
The
film
is
slated
for
a
June
10
release.
