Aamir Khan gifted laddoos to auto rickshaw driver’s son

Aamir Khan, who flew down to Varanasi to attend his auto rickshaw driver friend Ram Lakhan’s son’s wedding, specially picked up laddoos from Maner (a place famous for its sweets) as a gift for the couple. Not only this, Aamir Khan also gifted the bride saris and a gold coin.

Aamir Khan was dressed in a white kurta and jeans for the occasion and he was seen relishing some Banarasi paan.

Aamir Khan was the cheif guest at the wedding of son of Ram Lakhan, who drove him around the city and helped him to locate his maternal grandmother’s home, when he had previously gone there for the promotion of his film 3 Idiots.

Aamir Khan in an interview to a leading website said, “When I was informed that Ram Lakhan had come to meet me to invite me to his son's wedding, I promised to attend the wedding as the city holds a special place in my heart as my ammi hails from here.”

Rumour has it that Aamir Khan went to the wedding to promote his new show Satyamev Jayate. However, the actor claims that it was a personal visit.

Aamir Khan said, “This is a purely personal visit; I have come to attend the wedding and revive my ties with the city.”
