Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan visit Rajesh Khanna's family

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were one of the first few to visit Aashirwad on 18 July, when the news of Rajesh Khanna's death broke out. The Bachchans are also sending food to Rajesh Khanna residence as the family of dead cannot cook till the 13th day of death. Recently, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also visited Aashirwad to meet Rajesh Khanna's family.

On Saturday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were seen leaving Rajesh Khanna's residence after meeting the superstar's family. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog, "The rituals are over. Food from our house has been sent to Dimple, his wife, at his house Aashirwad, where she plans to stay till the terahvein, the 13th day is over."

Unfortunately, Big B and son Abhishek Bachchan had to miss Kaka's funeral ceremony. Reports say that heavy traffic jam at Juhu and Vile Parle roads, compelled the duo to come out of their car and walk for miles. The Bachchans, who have been very close to Rajesh Khanna could not make it on time to the Vile Parle crematorium, in order to witness Khanna's last rites.

Big B later wrote on Twitter, "The funeral of Rajesh Khanna was poignant and crowded .. the crowds were in throngs,with scant respect for the situation .. pity !!(sic)"
