Mumbai:
Director
SS
Rajamouli
has
rubbished
the
reports
that
Abhishek
Bachchan
will
reprise
Nani's
role
in
the
Hindi
version
of
his
hit
movie
Eega,
which
has
been
titled
Makhi.
His
comment
is
coming
after
the
rumours
started
doing
rounds
that
the
director
would
reshoot
for
the
Hindi
version
with
the
Bollywood
actor
for
Nani's
role.
Rajamouli
says
that
there
is
absolutely
no
truth
in
those
reports.
It
was
reported
earlier
that
the
makers
of
Eega
have
roped
in
Abhishek
Bachchan
for
its
Hindi
version.
Sudeep
and
Samantha
have
already
dubbed
for
it.
But
since
they
share
screen
space
with
Nani
in
a
few
sequences,
they
are
expected
to
reshoot
for
those
sequence
with
the
Bollywood
actor
very
soon.
Talking
to
a
leading
English
daily,
SS
Rajamouli
says
that
neither
he
has
roped
in
Abhishek
for
Hindi
version
of
Eega,
nor
his
team
is
reshooting
any
scene.
"There's
no
way
that
we
are
reshooting
the
scenes.
The
Abhishek
Bachchan
rumours
have
no
truth
to
it.
The
Hindi
version
will
be
completely
dubbed,
which
would
mean
we
have
the
original
cast
intact," the
TOI
quotes
the
director
as
saying.
Meanwhile,
Rajamouli
says
that
Eega
has
a
universal
appeal,
which
has
been
accepted
by
everyone.
So
he
does
not
want
to
change
anything
in
it.
The
director
says,
"As
most
of
the
film
is
action-oriented,
as
opposed
to
dialogues,
it
has
a
universal
appeal." Talking
about
his
plans
to
release
it
in
3D
format,
Rajamouli
says,
"I
am
not
sure
on
that
as
of
yet.
The
decision
lies
in
the
hands
of
our
producer."
