Amitabh Bachchan desperate to learn sitar and sarod

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who is also a singer and known for baritone voice, has planned to learn to play the musical instruments sitar and sarod. His inclination towards different musical instruments is growing after he received lots of accolades for singing skills in his recent song 'Ekla Cholo Re' in the critically acclaimed movie Kahaani.

On his blog on Big Adda, Amitabh Bachchan expressed his growing interest towards Sitar and a Sarod. Big B write, “So am getting into the business of acquiring a Sitar and a Sarod soon enough so I may have the pleasure to be pulling a few strings!! These are times I shall look forward to... my Sitar, my Sarod, my Piano and me... sounds like the title of a really bad book or movie! Ha!”

The Bollywood actor continued, "But... even though I may be able to learn the instruments now, just the fact that I shall be holding them and pretending to be some great master, shall indeed be of great interest and value to me."

Amitabh Bachchan became singer with movies like The Great Gambler and Mr Natwarlal in 1979. Later, he has rendered his voice for several musical hit movies like Pukar, Aks, Baghban, Nishabd, Cheeni Kum, Paa, Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap. His voice for a song has been biggest highlight in the movie Kahaani and besides Vidya Balan's performance, it is one of the biggest reason for the success of the film.
