Amitabh Bachchan to light up Bihar Diwas celebrations

Several Bollywood stars would be in Patna on Bihar Diwas celebrations on March 23 and superstar Amitabh Bachchan is one among those B-Town celebrities. According to the official sources, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has extended the invitation to Bachchan during the actor's last visit to the city.

This mega event is being organised by the Bihar Government to mark 100 years of the state. Film personalities with strong Bihar links such as Shatrughan Sinha, Prakash Jha, Udit Narayan, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpai and Neetu Chandra have also been invited for this grand occasion.

However, it was on March 22, 1912 when the British carved out Bihar from Bengal presidency. The government has made elaborate arrangements for the three-day function held between March 22 and 24 marking the end of the year-long Bihar Diwas celebrations.
