Amitabh Bachchan gets one million likes on Facebook!

Amitabh Bachchan is one of the few celebrities who is very active on social networking sites. The actor recently opened his Facebook account and in just 48 hours he has got one million likes! Interestingly, after opening the account, Amitabh Bachchan had got 8 lakhs likes within an hour. His Facebook profile includes some unseen pictures of his childhood, family pictures and behind the scenes pictures of his movies.

Amitabh Bachchan said while launching his Facebook page, "Facebook needs no introduction and I feel that my official Facebook fan page was long overdue. Facebook is a powerful tool that helps bring people together and allows us to embrace being a part of a larger community."

Big B added, "I have been encouraged by the overwhelming reception to my tumblr blog, and this is another avenue to reach out to my fans, not only in India, but globally."

In a video message Amitabh Bachchan said, "I am now on Facebook.... Year after year, month after month, day after day, we just keep coming closer to each other. Lovely to have you here and we shall be seeing each other and you will be getting to know more about me and my daily activities through this wonderful medium."

By seeing Amitabh Bachchan's popularity on Facebook, it seems that only Rajnikanth can break his records!
