EMAET is not a copy of What Happens In Vegas?: Imran, Kareena

Actors Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who are starring together in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, have slammed the reports that their latest movie is a copy of What Happens In Vegas? They say that they are completely two different films and only similarity between them is that they have been shot in Vegas.

In a recent interview Imran Khan got irked by the question on whether it is copy of What Happens In Vegas? “Anyone who has seen What Happens In Vegas? would not ask this question. They are two completely different films. That film is about a couple winning a lottery and then having to stay together," the Gulf News quotes Imran as saying.

Imran Khan added, “Our film is about a girl showing a guy what he is missing in life. There is no conning, no jackpot and no court order. The similarity begins and ends with the fact that it's been filmed in Vegas, which is also the theme of movies like The Hangover, Two to Tango and certain episodes of Friends."

Meanwhile Kareena Kapoor also reiterated the fact that Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is completely an original movie. Since both films have been shot in the same city, “it is very convenient for people to say that it's a copy of What Happens in Vegas?" the Gulf News quotes the actress as saying.

However, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is a romantic comedy written and directed by Shakun Batra. The story revolves around jobless Rahul Kapoor and hairstylist Riana Braganza, who wake up to discover that they have got married following a night of debauchery. What happens when they decide to get the marriage annulled is an interesting topic of the film, which is scheduled to release on 10th February, 2012.
