Kareena Kapoor did not convert to Islam, confirms mom-in-law!

Mumbai: There has been a lot of buzz surrounding actress Kareena Kapoor's wedding and her religious conversion. But, Bebo's mother-in-law aka Sharmila Tagore has confirmed that Kareena hasn't converted herself to Islam, hence despite marriage to Pataudi Saif Ali Khan, she's still a Hindu.

While talking to a leading daily, Sharmila was all praise for Kareena. She said that Bebo is a very quiet and easy person. Sharmila also confirmed that though Bebo hasn't converted into Islam, she's now the Begum of Pataudi. "He (Saif) is the Nawab, so Kareena is the Begum," Tagore said.

In fact, a while ago, Saif had also confirmed that he's not at all comfortable about Kareena converting into Islam. "I would never want her (Kareena) to change her religion. That is the trouble with religion really... it expects conversion. I don't buy or believe that," Saif said.
