Kareena Kapoor to become the show stopper for Lakme Fashion Week grand finale, 2012!

Actress Kareena Kapoor might walk the ramp at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week, to be held in the first week of August. The forthcoming edition will be held from Aug 3-7.

Even earlier, Bebo had walked as the show stopper for designer friend Manish Malhotra during Lakme Fashion Week, 2011. "Kareena walked for Manish Malhotra two seasons ago and we have shared the work with her. We are already working with her (for this season). Kareena is taking out time for that," Purnima Lamba, head (Innovations), Lakme, told IANS.

"At this point we have not decided the prospect of it but Kareena is very excited to walk for us. So, she might be the show stopper," she further said. She also revealed that this year, there will be two grand finales - One by Kallol Dutta and other by Pankaj-Nidhi. On being asked, if there is a risk by taking fresh designers for the grand finale, Lamba said, "The concept of bringing fresh perspective for the finale was a very exciting one. So we were very thrilled to get them on board. I don't see any risk in this as it is my responsibility to give them a voice. Also it is interesting from a creative point of view, as both of them have their individual style."
