Kareena's one garment in Heroine costs Rs 1.5 crore: Madhur

New Delhi: Without disclosing Kareena Kapoor's remuneration for his upcoming project Heroine, director Madhur Bhandarkar has called her the 'most expensive heroine' in Bollywood referring to her costly wardrobe for the film. The fashionable pieces Kareena has donned in the film, playing the role of a superstar, were sourced from major brands from all over the world.

Madhur Bhandarkar, who is busy promoting the movie Heroine, recently spoke to PTI and said, "Kareena has worn 130 dresses in the film and many of them have been imported from many fashion hubs of the world. One garment in the film cost me 1.5 crore and I must say she is one of the most expensive heroines in the industry."

The Bollywood director, 46, who has bagged many National Awards for his reality driven films, said that he is not aspiring to get another one for this film. Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I just want the film to do good at the Box-Office. I want the audience to like it. I have made this film with a lot of conviction. Since I belong to the industry, I have tried to be honest with my script."

However, the film Heroine, which has been made on a budget of Rs 45 crores, will hit 2,300 theatres across the country this Friday, September 21. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, Shahana Goswami and Helen in the lead roles. Madhur Bhandarkar said, "I am very happy as a filmmaker after this film. All the actors were brilliant. It's my first multi-dimensional film."
