The

against
Madhur
Bhandarkar
in
an
alleged
Preeti
Jain
rape
case.
In
July
2004,
Preeti
Jain
(a
struggling
actress)
created
news
after
she
accused
Madhur
Bhandarkar
of
rape.
Preeti
said
that
she
slept
with
Madhur
from
1999-2004
as
he
promised
her
a
role
in
his
films.
She
later
said
that
they
had
sex
16
times
and
Madhur
made
promises
of
giving
her
a
lead
role
in
his
films.
She
added
that
Mr
Bhandarkar
also
promised
that
he
will
marry
her.
Reportedly,
Preeti
Jain
was
arrested,
by
the
police,
in
September
2005
after
she
hired
a
contract
killer
for
Rs.70,000
to
murder
Madhur
Bhandarkar.

year,
the
Bombay

When
a
leading
newspaper
contacted
Bhandarkar
he
said,
"My
faith
in

Constitution
and
judiciary
remains
steadfast.
And
I
strongly
feel
that
truth

finally
prevail!"
