Actress
Maryam
Zakaria,
who
entered
Bollywood
with
the
movie
Agent
Vinod,
has
bagged
another
plum
offer.
The
Iranian
beauty
has
been
roped
in
to
do
an
item
number
in
Akshay
Kumar's
upcoming
film
Rowdy
Rathore.
She
will
now
sway
to
the
fast-paced
item
song
in
Rowdy
Rathore,
which
is
being
directed
by
Prabhu
Deva.
In
an
interview
to
PTI,
Maryam
Zakaria
shared
her
excitement
on
doing
an
item
number
for
the
movie
Rowdy
Rathore.
The
budding
star
said,
"I
am
doing
an
item
song
in
'Rowdy
Rathore'.
In
the
song
I
have
an
Indian
look.
It
is
a
catchy,
fast-paced
song.
I
don't
dance
with
Akshay
or
Sonakshi
in
the
song."
Rowdy
Rathore
is
a
remake
of
Telugu
film
Vikramarkudu.
The
item
number
of
the
film
is
choreographed
by
prolific
dancer
Prabhu
Deva.
Talking
about
the
song,
Maryam
Zakaria
said,
"Prabhudeva
has
a
unique
style
of
dance
which
is
tough.
I
am
happy
that
I
am
getting
to
do
something
different...
It
was
a
challenge
to
do
a
song
choreographed
by
Prabhudeva,
but
I
loved
doing
it.”
Earlier,
rumours
were
doing
rounds
that
the
item
number
was
initially
offered
to
actress
Karishma
Kapoor.
When
asked
about
the
reports,
Maryam
Zakaria
said,
"I
am
not
aware
if
Karishma
was
offered
this
song
or
not....I
am
happy
with
the
fact
that
this
offer
came
to
me.”
Born
in
Iran
and
brought
up
in
Sweden,
Maryam
Zakaria
started
her
acting
career
with
Tamil
and
Telugu
films.
Now,
she
wants
to
make
it
big
in
Bollywood.
"I
had
a
special
appearance
in
Hindi
film
Paying
Guest
(2009).
I
got
this
offer
for
Agent
Vinod
and
now
Rowdy
Rathore,
my
patience
have
in
a
way
paid
off.
I
want
to
do
big
and
lead
roles
in
Bollywood.
I
am
meeting
directors
and
reading
scripts," PTI
quotes
Maryam
as
saying.
