The female lead role opposite actor Emraan Hashmi in Karan Johar's next home production has created lots of curiosity among the movie buffs. Recently, the name of Kareena Kapoor was being heard for the role. But actress Neha Dhupia has confirmed that she is all set to play the role in the untitled film, which is directed by Rensil D'Silva.
In a statement to the PTI, Neha Dhupia confirmed the news about sharing screen space with Emraan Hashmi in the film, but she declined to divulge any further details about it. The actress said, "Yes, I have been signed for this film. I can't talk much about it. There are other two films of mine that are coming out - Maximum and Rush."
The film is likely to roll out later in the year. Earlier in an exclusive interview to PTI, Karan had said, "The film has a strong ensemble cast, like Emraan, lots of people are there in it like Kangana, Randeep Hooda and host of young brilliant actors. We will announce the film with title and cast very soon. It is about individual paths, there is no predominant love story. It is too early to talk about it (story line)."
Recently, Neha Dhupia attended Karan Johar's 40th birthday bash. Besides KJo's film, Neha would be seen next in Kabeer Kaushik's crime thriller Maximum. The project, which features Naseeruddin Shah, Sonu Sood, Neha Dhupia and Vinay Pathak in pivotal roles, is releasing on June 29. Her other project is again a thriller Rush, directed by late Shamin Desai. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Aditya Pancholi, Neha Dhupia in pivotal roles. After the death of Desai, the project is being completed by his wife Priyanka under Percept Picture Company.
