Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan recently attended the premiere of Bedabrata Pain's Chittagong, co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. After watching the film, both Shahrukh and Amitabh felt that the film falls in the league of 'new cinema'.

Shahrukh Khan told reporters at the screening that he wanted to be part of the movie but it did not happen. Shahrukh also added, "I am so happy that this film is releasing now. It's a very important film and I have heard a lot about it. It's an interesting piece of cinema and I wish all the best to it."

Amitabh Bachchan said, "Anurag has been a great revolution in Indian cinema and the kind of films that he has been making and has been promoting, are creating a new audience and that is very exceptional and much appreciated."

Other celebrities who attended the premiere of Chittagong are Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sonu Sood and Vishal Bhardwaj.
