revealed
that
acting
was
not
on
the
cards,
but
he
accidentally
entered
the
film
industry.
The
Bollywood
actor
says
that
he
was
encouraged
to
take
up
the
career
by
the
reviews
for
his
performance
in
his
debut
film.
In
an
interview
to
Times
of
India,
Pratheik
Babbar
admitted
his
accidental
entry
into
films.
The
actor
said,
“I
stumbled
upon
acting.
I
accepted
Jaane
Tu...
Ya
Jaane
Na
without
giving
it
any
serious
thought.
I
took
it
up
as
more
of
an
extracurricular
activity.
I
never
prayed
that
film
chal
jaye.
But
I
enjoyed
the
process
and
the
reviews
encouraged
me
to
take
up
films
as
a
career."
Prateik
Babbar
started
his
career
as
an
assistant
to
ad
filmmaker
Prahlad
Kakkar
and
he
was
also
cast
in
ad
films
for
KitKat.
He
made
his
acting
debut
in
the
Aamir
Khan
production
Jaane
Tu
Ya
Jaane
Na
and
he
played
Genelia's
brother
Amit.
His
performance
got
lot
of
accolades
from
critics
and
also
brought
him
offers
like
Dhobi
Ghaat,
Dum
Maro
Dum
and
Aarakshan.
