Why is Priyanka Chopra thanking Shahrukh Khan?

Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra has fetched great reviews and appreciations for her outstanding performance as an autistic girl in the film Barfi. PC's role as an autistic Jhilmil was a challenging one. Hence, the actress had to put in a lot of hardwork to get it perfect. According to Priyanka Chopra, she had taken a lot of inspiration from Shahrukh Khan for her role.

Priyanka is thankful to her friend SRK, for whom she could get her role correct. She tweeted, "Also thank you SRK for lending me all your My Name is Khan research, you gave me perspective on Jhilmil..owe you another one..love always." Shahrukh Khan was earlier appreciated for his physically challenged role in My Name Is Khan.

Barfi director Anurag Basu had earlier said that Priyanka did a lot of hard work for her role. She had also met many autistic kids, in order to get into the skin of her character in Barfi.
