Two
days
after
he
died
in
Singapore
due
to
kidney
ailment,
Bollywood
filmmaker
Raj
Kanwar
was
cremated
here
today.
Kanwar
had
passed
away
in
Singapore
on
February
3.
He
was
reportedly
suffering
from
kidney
ailment
from
the
past
one
year
and
had
recently
gone
to
Singapore
for
a
kidney
transplant.
However,
he
passed
away
even
before
the
surgery.
The
cremation
was
held
at
12
pm
at
Oshiwara
cremation
in
suburban
Andheri.
Besides
his
family
members,
including
wife
Anita
and
two
sons,
several
Bollywood
personalities
had
come
to
bid
farewell
to
the
departed
soul.
Those,
who
were
present
at
the
funeral,
include
filmmaker
Shekhar
Kapur,
Abbas-Mustan,
Raza
Murad,
Sajid
Nadiadwala,
Satish
Kaushik,
Poonam
Sinha
and
Luv
Sinha,
among
others.
Raj
Kanwar
was
one
among
the
noted
filmmakers
in
Bollywood.
He
had
worked
with
several
biggies
like
Shahrukh
Khan
and
Akshay
Kumar.
Deewana,
Laadla,
Jeet,
Daag:
The
Fire,
Dhaai
Akshar
Prem
Ke
and
Andaaz
are
some
of
his
memorable
films.
His
last
film
was
Saadiyaan
in
2010,
which
launched
Shatrughan
Sinha's
son
Luv.
