Reason revealed: What caused superstar Rajesh Khanna's death?

Bollywood's "Pasha of passion" Rajesh Khanna is no more. The superstar died yesterday afternoon at his Bandra residence 'Aashirwad'. Khanna was suffering from prolonged illness since long. His sudden death at 69 left the nation and the tinselville in complete shock and grief.

If reports are to be believed, the reason behind his death was liver infection. A close friend of the superstar informed a leading daily that Khanna's liver got affected and "he could not take solid food so he was on liquid intake."

According to the reports, Rajesh Khanna was battling with critical health problems since April. On 23 June, he was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to health complications. He was discharged on 8 July from the hospital and was reportedly fine. On 14 July, Khanna was readmitted to the hospital, but was discharged again on 17 July.

A leading website reports that Rajesh Khanna suffered alcoholic problems all through his life and it is said that he had given up alcohol in January. After he kicked off his drinking habit, his relationship with Dimple got better. Khanna and his wife Dimple were living separately due to their strained relationship.
