Rajesh Khanna's death makes Manoj Kumar skip b'day celebrations

Mumbai: Veteran actor Manoj Kumar turned 75 on July 24. Earlier the actor had planned to celebrate his birthday in a very lavish manner but cancelled the plan when he heard the news of Rajesh Khanna's demise. Rajesh Khanna was Manoj Kumar's very good friend.

Not many people know that the house in which Rajesh Khanna lived was said to be haunted and before Rajesh Khanna, Rajendra Kumar used to live in that. It was Manoj Kumar who told Rajendra Kumar not to believe in ghost story and perform a puja before moving in. Manoj Kumar and Rajendra Kumar were best friends at that time.

Manoj Kumar's original name is Harikrishna Giri Goswami, later he changed his name to Manoj Kumar for films. Manoj made his acting debut with Fashion, released in 1957. But, it was Kaanch Ki Gudia released in 1960, which made him famous.
