Rajesh Khanna's crazy fan bleeds, applies blood as sindoor in his name

Bollywood's Pasha of Passion - Rajesh Khanna is no more, but he will continue to rule the minds of his diehard female fans. Khanna was possibly the only superstar of Bollywood for whom women were even ready to bleed.

Khanna was one of the very few stars who was blessed with inherent enigma to induce fan hysteria. Believe it or not, but Khanna's impact, especially on his lunatic female fans was indescribable.

Khanna was coined as the romantic icon during his times. He had many female followers who were crazy just to get a glimpse of his car passing by. In fact, one of the fans revealed her craze for Khanna to a leading daily. She confessed, "I was so crazy about him that I cut my finger with a blade after watching Aradhana. As the blood oozed out, I stood near one of his many pin-ups in my room and applied sindoor in Rajesh Khanna's name."

Actress Sharmila Tagore said, "Elderly woman would want to mother him. Younger women wanted to fall in love with him. And the men also liked him because he had a lot of energy and style. He brought together people from nine-year-olds to ninety-year-olds."

It is also believed that the day Khanna married Dimple, many of his female fans were so upset that they fasted for a whole day. It is so believed that there were quite a few other crazy fans, who had also committed suicide.
