Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan, please talk about rape and sexual abuse!

By Puri

Aamir Khan's show Satyamev Jayate has got positive reviews from all corners of the country. But Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen does not seem to be very happy with this. She is angry about the fact that people follow what famous Bollywood stars say while efforts of social activist fighting for the same cause go unnoticed. So, the writer says that Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan should now take the initiative to talk about rape and sexual abuse.

Taslima Nasreen wrote on Twitter, “From now on film stars should talk about social problems on TV. Everybody will listen to them. Ppl don't listen to human rights activists. Feminists have been talking about female foeticide and its dangerous effects for decades. Ppl have learned about it today from star plus(sic).”

Taslima further added, “Dear Salman Khan, please talk about rape, domestic violence and dowry murder on TV tomorrow. Ppl should know about these problems. Dear Shahrukh Khan, pl talk about sexual abuse & sexual slavery on TV. Ppl shd know about these problems. We talk, but we're not film stars(sic).”

Taslima Nasreen..., instead of complaining, you should be happy about the fact that at least someone got successful in awakening the sleeping souls...so what if he is a superstar? And as they say it's better late than never!!
