Shahrukh Khan banned for five years from entering Wankhede Stadium

By Puri

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Friday banned superstar Shahrukh Khan from entering the Wankhede Stadium after the conflict between the two.

The MCA said that ban on Shahrukh is a message for everyone.

MCA filed a police complaint against Shahrukh Khan on Wednesday for abusing their officials and security guards. Shahrukh Khan, in return, had said that security guards manhandled his kids and he sought an apology from the MCA.

MCA treasurer Ravi Savantin in an interview to a leading daily said, "Shah Rukh Khan misbehaved and abused MCA security personnel as well as its officials, including our president, Vilasrao Deshmukh, after the match.

Talking about the ban, Vilasrao Deshmukh said, "Despite (MCA) officials attempting to pacify him, Shah Rukh Khan attacked them and used abusive language. The MCA managing committee has recommended a ban and will take a final call."
