Filmmaker Rohit Shetty's upcoming movie Chennai Express has been in the news for quite a long time now. A while ago, it was confirmed that actress Deepika Padukone will be playing the female lead role in the film. This is a second collaboration between Khan and Deepika after Om Shanti Om. The duo is back again with a bang this time, as the film's shooting started yesterday.
Shahrukh and Deepika started the shooting of Chennai Express yesterday at Mumbai's Mehboob studio. Have a look at the below image, SRK is indeed looking handsome in his black attire, while chit chatting with the staffs on the sets of his film. On the other hand, Deepika is seen sporting a look of a south indian girl. We are disappointed as we couldn't see her face, but the leggy lass is looking pretty in her green 'kanjeevaram' and a lovely 'gajra'.
Chennai Express revolves around the story of a man (Shahrukh Khan), who travels from Mumbai to Rameshwaram, and what happens during the journey forms the movie. Interestingly, this is for the first time that Shetty would be working without his close buddy Ajay Devgn, with whom he has done eight films. It is for the first time that he would be teaming up with Shahrukh and Deepika. This film will go on floors by September end and would release in mid of 2013.
