'Go Govinda' is an item song with a difference: Sonakshi

Actress Sonakshi Sinha is doing an item number for the first time in Akshay Kumar's upcoming movie Oh My God. The actress can be seen shaking the leg with director Prabhu Deva, who has choreographed the song 'Go Govinda' for Oh My God. Sonakshi says that the item number is different from other songs.

'Go Govinda' is a Janmashtmi song and Sonakshi Sinha, who is currently promoting her another movie Joker, is set to entertain the audience in absolute filmy and colorful styles. Talking to PTI, Sonakshi said, "The term item song is used very loosely today. Any solo number is termed as an item song. This (Go Govinda) is a good song with Prabhu and is very different from other item numbers."

Oh My God, which is directed by Umesh Shukla, will see Akshay playing the role of modern-day God. Talking about the shooting of the item song, the actress added, "The human pyramid had only women from the age of six to 60 years. The sturdy women were at the bottom, teenagers stood on them and the small kids broke the matki. It was fun shooting this song. I enjoyed it a lot."

Meanwhile, Sonakshi is also looking forward to Akshay Kumar's another film Joker, which releases on August 31. She will leave no stone unturned to promote the film. Sonakshi said, "I will be going to all malls and then on TV shows to promote our film (Joker). I will do as much as I can for this film promotion. Even Akshay is busy with promotion."
