Tearful Shahrukh Khan bids adieu to Yash Chopra

Shahrukh Khan, who was very close to Yash Chopra, was shocked after hearing the news of Yash Chopra's demise. Insiders say Shahrukh had tears in his eyes when he reached Lilavati hospital to see Yash Chopra the last time.

A source told a website, "Stunned but controlled, Shahrukh was guided to the room, SRK first hugged Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukherjee, who took the actor inside the private room, where Yashji lay lifeless. As the actor looked with eyes full of tears at the filmmaker, he lovingly looked at the filmmaker for one last time and kissed his forehead.

The source further added, "SRK started cajoling Pam aunty who kept crying. Within no time, the actor took the charge as the eldest son making calls to close friends and actors updating them about the situation. Shahrukh took a corner and was seen consoling Aditya and Uday for a brief time."

Yash Chopra will be cremated today at Chandanwadi crematorium in south Mumbai at 3 pm.

His body will be kept at Yash Raj Studios for last darshan on Monday between 9 am to 12 noon.
