Station’s
latest
campaign
‘Safety
Manao,
Life
Banao’.

BIG
FM
has
joined
hands
with
the
Western
Railways
and
NGO
-
Humanitarian
Welfare
&
Research
Foundation.
The
campaign
takes
on
the
pressing
issue
of
railway
safety
and
will
spread
awareness
among
commuters
to
deter
them
from
crossing
tracks
and
travelling
on
the
rooftop
of
trains,
which
has
ended
many
lives
and
maimed
even
more.
This
is
an
extension
of
its
larger
campaign
called
‘Mumbai
Manao,
Life
Banao’
which
celebrates
the
spirit
of
Mumbai.
The
‘Safety
Manao,
Life
Banao’
campaign
will
see
RJ
Ankit
hosting
the
breakfast
show
from
atop
a
bridge
at
one
of
Mumbai’s
busiest
railway
stations
–
Dadar
from
7
am
to
11
am
each
morning,
until
he
gets
a
minimum
of
9,270
volunteers
to
support
the
cause
and
spread
the
awareness.

the
campaign,
Shahid
Kapoor,
director
Kunal
Kohli
and
producer
Vicky
Bahri
were
seen
talking
at
length
about
Mumbai’s
lifeline:
The
local
trains
and
how
92.7
BIG
FM
has
done
a
commendable
job
of
taking
up
this
issue
and
spreading
awareness
amongst
Mumbaikars.
RJ
Ankit
will
be
in
his
mobile
radio
studio
at
a
key
junction
at
Dadar
Railway
Station.
His
show
will
involve
–
interviews
with
the
authorities
highlighting
the
challenges
that
they
face,
speaking
to
passengers
on
the
reasons
why
they
go
about
endangering
themselves,
people
who
have
survived
accidents
will
share
their
stories
and
also
those
who
have
lost
someone
close
in
railway
accidents.
The
show
will
also
see
a
slew
of
celebrities
visiting
the
mobile
studio
as
a
mark
of
support
and
encouragement
to
the
campaign.
Extending
the
campaign
to
social
media;
RJ
Ankit
will
take
aerial
pictures
from
his
vantage
point,
of
people
unnecessarily
endangering
their
lives.
These
will
be
posted
on
the
social
media
network
which
will
serve
as
an
eye-opener
for
those
who
see
them.
