Yash Chopra dies at 80!

Veteran director, screenwriter and film producer Yash Chopra (80) is no more. The man who made us fall in love with his films died at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Sunday, a hospital spokesperson said to a leading daily. He was suffering from Dengue.

On October 13, Yash Chopra was admitted to Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra in Mumbai after he was diagnosed with dengue. Yash Chopra's death has come as sudden shock.

Yash Chopra had recently celebrated his 80th birthday.

Yash Chopra created his own style. He was known as king of romance as he made Bollywood's most memorable romantic dramas. He ruled the industry over five decades and over 50 films. His few hit films include Kabhi Kabhie, Chandni, Lamhe, Silsila, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Veer Zaara.

He had announced his retirement from directing last week. His last directorial movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which stars Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, is all ready for release on November 13.
