Why is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani close to Deepika's heart?

Mumbai: Actress Deepika Padukone revealed that her upcoming movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is very close to her heart. Well hearing this, we initially thought that the reason behind this might be because of Dippy's ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor's presence in the movie. But now, we get to hear some other reason from the actress.

According to Deepika Padukone, her character in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani is very close to her real self. "Actually Yeh Jawani... is very similar to me in person like Veronica was not. I think Veronica, as a character, as a person is very different from how I am personally but Yeh Jawani...' is very similar to how I am," she told IANS.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani will be Deepika's second film with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor, after Bachna Ae Haseeno. Reportedly, a while ago, rumours were rife that initially Anushka Sharma was being considered for Dippy's role in the film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. But, lady luck struck Deepika and finally the opportunity went to her.
