Akshay Khanna Cheated Of Rs 50 Lakhs!

Bollywood actor Akshay Khanna has been reportedly duped of Rs.50 lakh by a fraudster couple. He had also lodged a complaint at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police against the husband-wife duo.

As per a leading daily, Akshay Khanna's FIR says that a couple- Satyabrata and Shona Chakrabarti persuaded the actor ro invest Rs.50 lakh in their company in 2010 and also assured him of doubling the amount by investing it in the commodity market. But, a few years, when Khanna tried to contact them, the couple allegedly ignored his calls.

Reportedly, Akshay Khanna approached EOW through his lawyer, following which the EOW registered a case of cheating with Malabar Hills police station. The daily further claims that the alleged fraudster couple have been booked under Section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 120 (B) (conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Reportedly, Khanna had met the couple for the first time at a party in 2010.
