Nargis Fakhri Finally Gets To Say Lines In Her Voice

By Ians English

Nargis Fakhri will soon be seen in Madras Cafe and this time she will be saying her dialogues in her own voice for the film. The actress who made her debut in the the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Rockstar did not speak her lines then because she couldn't speak Hindi.

Shoojit Sircar's Madras Cafe will be the first film in which the audience will get to hear the voice of the 33-year-old actress. However, there is a catch to this. Do not expect Nargis to have mastered Hindi and speak in the language fluently. Fortunately for her, she plays a European journalist in Madras Cafe, so she doesn't have to speak any Hindi.

This essential privilege of giving her voice was denied to Nargis in her debut film. Even though her co-star Ranbir Kapoor tried his utmost to polish up her Hindi to the extent that she would be able to speak her own lines, it didn't work out. Fakhri was born in New York to a Pakistani father Mohammed A. Fakhri and a Czech mother Marie A.

The director of the movie has tried to portray her character natural in Madras Cafe. "I've tried to keep it as real as possible. Nargis plays a foreign journalist. A press correspondent from Europe," said Sircar. This political-thriller starring John Abraham is set to release on August 23, 2013.
