Shahrukh
Khan's
Chennai
Express
is
one
of
the
most
awaited
films
of
the
year.
But
the
movie
which
was
supposed
to
release
on
August
8th
will
now
release
on
August
9th.
The
makers
of
the
movie
have
decided
to
release
the
movie
on
Eid
as
they
do
not
want
the
release
date
to
fall
in
the
days
of
Ramdaan.
Confirming
the
news
film
critic

wrote
on
Twitter,
"Breaking
News:
#ChennaiExpress
will
release
on
9
August
now.
Not
8
August."
It
was
reported
earlier
that
Shahrukh
Khan's
Chennai
Express
will
clash
with
Akshay
Kumar's
Once
Upon
A
Time
In
Mumbaai
Again
as
both
the
movies
were
scheduled
to
release
on
Eid.
Later,
Shahrukh
Khan
requested
Ekta
Kapoor
to
postpone
the
release
of
OUATIMA.
Shahrukh
is
very
close
to
Ekta's
father
Jeetendra
and
that's
why
Ekta
decided
to
release
the
Akshay
Kumar
starrer
on
15th
August,
instead
of
Eid.
Directed
by
Rohit
Shetty,
Chennai
Express
is
a
story
about
a
man's
journey
from
Mumbai
to
Rameshwaram
and
what
happens
during
the
journey.
Since
it's
a
Rohit
Shetty
film,
one
can
expect
lots
of
action
in
it
with
a
romantic
twist.
