D-Day's
director
Nikhil
Advani
arranged
a
special
screening
of
his
directorial
venture
D-Day
in
New
York
for
the
Kapoor
and
the
Bachchan
families.
The
two
families
are
related
through
Rishi
Kapoor's
sister
Ritu
Nanda,
who
also
happens
to
be
Jaya
and
Amitabh
Bachchan's
daughter
Shweta's
mother-in-law.
Ritu
Nanda
is
being
treated
for
an
illness
in
New
York.
This
is
the
reason
Jaya
Bacchan,
Abhishek
Bachchan
and
Neetu
Singh
are
in
New
York
attending
to
the
ailing
Ritu
in
New
York.
Rishi
Kapoor,
who
is
playing
a
gangster
in
D-Day,
said,
"It
was
very
nice
of
Nikhil.
He
feels
I've
excelled
in
his
film.
My
wife
Neetu
is
currently
in
New
York.
Nikhil
feels
there
is
noway
she
should
miss
the
film.
So
he
very
sweetly
offered
to
hold
a
private
screening
for
Neetu,
Jaya
and
Abhishek,
who
are
all
in
New
York," expressed
Rishi.
Nikhil
Advani
knew
that
Rishi's
wife
is
not
in
the
country
and
came
up
with
this
thoughtful
idea.
"When
I
realised
Neetu
m'aam
won't
be
in
India,
I
had
to
do
something.
She
can't
miss
this
performance
of
Rishiji.
She
doesn't
miss
any
of
his
films,"
said
Advani.
Rishi
Kapoor
has
been
getting
a
lot
of
appreciation
for
his
role
played
in
the
recently
released
movie
D-Day.
"It
isn't
a
joke
to
hold
a
screening
in
Manhattan.
It
requires
a
lot
of
money
and
effort.
I
am
touched
that
Nikhil
took
all
this
trouble.
I
am
glad
Neetu
is
watching
the
film.
She
is
my
most
honest
critic," said
Kapoor.
Rishi
is
a
superstitious
man
and
doesn't
want
to
take
a
chance
by
watching
his
film.
He
generally
doesn't
watch
any
of
his
own
films
believing
they
will
not
do
well
if
watches
them."I'm
superstitious
about
it.
I
did
watch
'Aurangzeb'
and
look
what
happened
to
it,"
he
chuckled.
While
Jaya
Bachhan
too
watched
the
screening
in
New
York,
her
husband
Amitabh
Bachchan
watched
the
screening
of
D-Day
at
the
premiere
in
Mumbai
and
was
speechless.
The
legendary
actor
who
has
done
so
many
brilliant
movies
says
that
he
enjoyed
watching
D-Day.
"I
had
a
wonderful
experience
watching
the
film
and
it
will
take
me
a
lot
of
time
to
gather
and
understand
my
emotions
and
feelings
for
the
film.
Right
now,
I
have
no
words
to
express
my
feelings
for
the
film," said
the
70-year-old
actor
at
the
screening.
Big
B
praised
the
entire
crew
of
D-Day
for
putting
out
such
a
good
film.
"Everybody
has
done
a
brilliant
job.
Writers,
director,
music
and
all
the
actors
have
been
wonderful,"
he
added.
