Govinda To Turn Into Ranbir Kapoor's Father In Reel Life

While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of a teenager in his upcoming movie Jagga Jasoos, the makers have roped in Govinda to play Ranbir's father in the movie.

Govinda, who has two children of his own in real life will be a father to a 17-year-old-in the reel life. In the past too, there was a rumour about the same news. However, this information has been confirmed now as Govinda has finally said yes to director Anurag Kashyap for this project.

A source tells us that Govinda who is fondly called as Chi Chi loved the subject of Jagga Jasoos and is up for being a father on-screen. "The two (Anurag and Govinda) had a long meeting last week. Anurag explained the character to Chi Chi in detail. Chi Chi loved the subject and has consented to do the project in principle," said the source.

We also hear that Govinda will not be playing a serious character in the film. The role is said to tap his excellent comic timing.

Apart from Govinda and Ranbir, Jagga Jasoos also stars Katrina Kaif in a lead role. She will be paired opposite her rumoured boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. The film which is produced under the banner of Shuru Productions will hit the theatres in the second half of 2014. Do come back for more updates on the movie.
