Irrfan Khan Wins Award For The Lunchbox At A Film Festival In Paris

The Luchbox has already won many accolades since it has released and the performances of Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nimrat kaur has been highly appreciated. So it did not come as a surprise when Irrfan Khan won the Best Actor at the Saint Jean De Luz Film Festival in Paris. He went to Paris this Wednesday to collect the award.

Irrfan is one of the finest actor in the country and was the best suitable candidate for the role. He has added another remarkable performance to his name. His role of a nearly retiring accountant could not have been done better by an other actor. This not your typical bollywood masala film and thus it gives time to Irrfan to come into his own and emoting like only he can. There is a very high probability that this award is not the only one Irrfan would be getting for the movie. He would definitely be in contention for getting the National award and Filmfare award for his portrayal of Mr. Fernandez.

The movie was shown as a part of the International Critic's week at the 2013 Cannes film festival, where it received a standing ovation and positive reviews and also won the Critics Week Viewers Choice Award, which is known as Grand Rail d'Or.
