Jiah Khan's mother Rabia Amin speaks up on daughter's death

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan's sudden death is a shock to the entire Bollywood fraternity. On Monday night, Jia committed suicide by hanging herself in her apartment. Reportedly, Jiah's mother Rabia Amin, who was also a small time actress in Bollywood, finally spoke up following her daughter's sudden demise.

According to Jiah Khan's mother, she was upset since an audition in Hyderabad on Sunday in which she could not do well. Reportedly, Rabia Amin told the police that Jiah had travelled to Hyderabad for an audition. She did not do well in the audition and after coming back, she told her mother that she did not feel that her Bollywood career is moving forward.

Reports further say that Jia wanted to quit Bollywood and switch to interior designing. Jiah Khan made her debut with the controversial movie Nishabd, that featured Amitabh Bachchan in the leads. She was last seen in the film Housefull, which also starred Akshay Kumar, Deepika, Lara Dutta and Ritesh Deshmukh.

The news of her death was first reported by actress Dia Mirza through a social networking site around 1.45 am. Jiah Khan was considered as one of the youngest and most promising actresses of Bollywood.

Khan made her debut with the controversial movie Nishabd, that featured Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The film was released in March 2007 to mixed reviews. Khan was noted for her confidence, attitude and sex appeal.
