Jiah Khan's Suicide: PETA offers condolences

The last rites of Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, who committed suicide on Monday night, was performed at the Santa Cruz graveyard. PETA has offered their condolences to Jiah. Jiah Khan was associated with PETA and was their ambassador.

The late Bollywood actor and a dear friend of PETA India Jiah Khan, was always there to help animals in distress and speak for them.

Some of her work included urging people and the Indian government to 'cut out glass-coated manja and not birds' wings. She also got into a tiny cage, all cramped up to show what animals in zoos go through every second of their lives. In Mumbai, she lived with her cats whom she had rescued. She would always be on the lookout for animals in distress and would work to provide them relief. Jiah was a compassionate person.

Jiah will always be remembered by many for her beauty, but also for her beautiful heart, including her compassion for animals.
