Kareena Kapoor follows Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's footsteps!

Mumbai: It looks like actress Kareena Kapoor has been highly inspired by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Unlike a few of her contemporaries, Ash had gone the usual way of adding up her in-laws' surname after marriage. After marriage to Abhishek Bachchan, Ash is referred as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. In fact, Kareena Kapoor, who had recently tied knot with Saif Ali Khan, prefers to be called as 'Kareena Kapoor Khan.'

While talking to a website, Bebo said that she's been telling people to address her as Kareena Kapoor Khan. "Although I've not converted, Saif is my husband and it's a beautiful surname to have," Kareena said. Kareena, who was dating her Tashan co-star Saif for five years, finally got married to him in October, 2012.

In fact, a leading Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband had claimed that Saif Ali Khan's wedding with Kareena Kapoor is anti Islamic as Kareena Kapoor did not convert to Islam before the marriage. "Kareena did not convert to Islam before her marriage with Saif. Islam does not approve of such marriages," claimed the Islamic institution located in Deoband, a town in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
