The
Maharashtra
Navnirman
Sena
(MNS)
has
threatened
to
derail
the
release
of
filmmaker
Rohit
Shetty's
upcoming
release
Chennai
Express,
that
features
superstar
Shahrukh
Khan
and
Deepika
Padukone
in
the
leads.
According
to
the
reports
by
a
leading
daily,
partys
film
unit
is
upset
over
reports
that
the
movie
has
demanded
prime
slots
in
single
cinemas
across
the
state
at
the
expense
of
some
Marathi
movies
that
are
being
screened.
The
Chief
Maharashtra
Navnirman
Chitrapat
Karmachari
Sena
told
the
daily
that
if
the
producers
of
Chennai
Express
tries
to
"dislodge
any
of
the
ongoing
or
forthcoming
Marathi
movies",
they
will
not
tolerate
it.
A
furious
party
chief
also
threatened
that
if
the
film's
producers
attempt
to
do
anything
of
this
sort,
they
may
not
allow
Chennai
Express
"exhibited
in
cinemas
of
the
state.
We
shall
also
remove
their
publicity
posters
from
Thursday".
The
film
Chennai
Express
is
all
set
to
release
on
August
8,
2013.
