SRK's Chennai Express Release In Danger?

As per the latest reports, The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has threatened to derail the release of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's upcoming release Chennai Express, that features superstar Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leads.

According to the reports by a leading daily, partys film unit is upset over reports that the movie has demanded prime slots in single cinemas across the state at the expense of some Marathi movies that are being screened. The Chief Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena told the daily that if the producers of Chennai Express tries to "dislodge any of the ongoing or forthcoming Marathi movies", they will not tolerate it.

A furious party chief also threatened that if the film's producers attempt to do anything of this sort, they may not allow Chennai Express "exhibited in cinemas of the state. We shall also remove their publicity posters from Thursday". The film Chennai Express is all set to release on August 8, 2013.
