"I did want (to) work with Ekta, and she was very persistent about the song. It was a conscious decision for me not to do an item song after all these years in Bollywood. But it was great opportunity as both of us had really wanted to work with each other. So I just decided to go out of my comfort zone," Priyanka told the PTI.
This will be the first time that the actress will be seen doing an item song though her contemporaries like Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif already have such songs to their credit. Priyanka will be seen dancing to the tracks of 'Babli Badmash Hai' in the Sanjay Gupta directed Shootout at Wadala which stars John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Tusshar Kapoor, Sonu Sood and Kangna Ranaut in the lead roles. It's scheduled to hit the screens on May 1.
