Bollywood actors gain huge amount with huge fame but the price of an actor depends upon his previous films i.e. If previous films are super hit, price of an actor increases and decreases with a flop film. Ranbir Kapoor's, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which released before Besharam was a huge hit and thus Ranbir charged a whopping 20 crores for his last debacle.
A source close to the actor said, "Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani did very well at the ticket windows, prompting Ranbir to decide to raise his asking amount. He finally decided to hike it by 50 per cent. Ranbir , who shot a 100-day schedule of Abhinav Kashyap's, Besharam , charged Rs 20 crore and has charged the same amount from his close friend and debutante director Vicky Singh for a just a 42-day schedule of Roy.
Ranbir also commands a percentage share of the profits his films makes. A trade expert on the condition of anonymity said, " Ranbir is already being regarded as a superstar with his winning streak in bollywood. Besharam may have tanked at the box office but the actor seems to have surely gained from their deal,"
The son of actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir has also received five Filmfare Awards. Kapoor tasted success with his romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno. In 2010, he received the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performances in three films, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
