Down With Dengue, Ranveer Singh Shows No Improvement In Hospital

By Sahaja

We recently informed you that Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was hospitalised with dengue on Thursday night. It has been more than 60 hours since the actor has been admitted to the Hinduja Surgical Health Care in Mumbai. We now hear that the actor has not yet showed any signs of improvement.

A source close to the actor told us that Ranveer is kept in isolation at the moment. The doctors where planning to shift him to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but they have now decided against the same. "Ranveer's platelet count is not improving and he is experiencing excruciating pain in his bones and severe bouts of shivering. His parents are keeping vigil but they too are not allowed to meet him," said the source.

Before Ranveer discovered he had dengue, he was shooting for a movie in the coal mines of Durgapur, West Bengal. He first contracted high fever but ignored it till the shooting was wrapped up. Only after he flew back to Mumbai, he was diagnosed with an advanced stage of dengue. "He didn't pay much attention to it but if he was diagnosed two days earlier his condition may not have worsened the way it has," the source added.

Ranveer Singh has an upcoming movie titled Ram Leela which also stars Deepika Padukone. We recently saw the trailer and a song from this movie but we wonder what will happen to the rest of the promotional activities as the lead actor lies in bed. Ram Leela is slated to hit the theatres on November 15 this year, so the team has another 45 days left for the promotions before the film's release. We hope to see Ranveer recover as soon as possible and look forward to see him promote his movie. We wish the actor a speedy recovery.
