2002 Hit-And-Run Case: Court Frames Charges Against Salman

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan seems in deep trouble now. As per the recent reports, the court has framed charges against Salman and this might affect his plans to fly to London for Kick's shooting. We initially learnt that the court's hearing got postponed as the judge got transferred. But now, according to the new reports, the public prosecution has pleaded the judge to frame charges against Salman before exemption.

Reportedly, Salman Khan is to be tried for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. The court has framed the following charges against the actor: 337, 338, 427, 304(2), 379 in connection with the 2002 Hit-And-Run Case.

We also hear that the case has been deferred as the matter will be brought up in a different court. The case will be possibly heard on August 16, 2013. Earlier, Salman Khan was only being tried for rash and negligent driving. But in January 2013, the metropolitan magistrate examined 17 witnesses related to the hit-and-run case and charged Salman for culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
