The
2011
film
Chalo
Dilli
will
soon
have
a
sequel
called
Chalo
China.
Filmmaker
Shashant
Shah,
who
directed
Chalo
Dilli
is
happy
that
the
makers
are
making
its
sequel
and
wishes
the
team
good
luck.

"I
am
happy
that
they
are
taking
ahead
the
film.
It
will
be
a
franchise
now.
I
am
not
directing
the
film,
but
I
wish
good
luck
to
the
team.
I
don't
know
the
story
of
the
sequel,
but
I
know
the
director
very
well
and
I
am
happy
for
him.
I
hope
the
sequel
does
better
than
the
first
one," said

Chalo
Dilli
was
model-turned-actress
Lara
Dutta's
maiden
production
venture,
which
saw
her
playing
the
lead
along
with
Vinay
Pathak.
The
film
was
produced
under
her
banner
Bheegi
Basanti
Productions
and
the
critics
described
it
as
a
refreshing
story
with
a
lot
of
heart.
The
film
was
partially
based
on
American
movie
called
Due
Date.
Shah
is
glad
that
the
story
of
Chalo
Dilli
is
going
ahead."When
we
finished
shooting
for
Chalo
Dilli,
Lara
and
Mahesh
Bhupati
asked
me
to
write
the
sequel,
but
I
didn't
see
the
story
going
ahead.
So,
later
Lara
informed
me
that
they
are
making
a
sequel
and
I
was
more
than
happy
for
her."
In
the
sequel,
Lara
and
Vinay
will
be
again
seen
playing
the
key
roles.
