Siddharth set to show his funny side in Chashme Baddoor

Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth is venturing into the comedy zone for the first time in a Bollywood film. Yes, he is all set to show his funny side in David Dhawan's upcoming film Chashme Baddoor.

Siddharth played the role of Karan Singhania in Rang De Basanti (2006), directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, which was Box Office hit. He later appeared in other Bollywood movie Striker (2010), which bombed at the Box Office.

He will now appear in the remake of the 1981 classic Chashme Baddoor, which starred Dipti Naval and Farooq Sheikh in the lead. The new installment will also have Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar and Divyendu Sharma of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame, playing the lead roles. South siren Tapasee will be making her Bollywood debut with this film.

David Dhawan's Chashme Baddoor will hit cinema houses on April 5. The official theatrical trailer, which was released on February 7, got tremendous response from the audience. Siddharth was last seen in acclaimed director Deepa Mehta's latest film Midnight's Children.
