Suraj Pancholi not responsible for Jiah Khan's suicide

By Puri

The Bombay High Court has released Suraj Pancholi on bail recently, saying that Suraj cannot be blamed solely for actress Jiah Khan's suicide. However, the court has asked Suraj to pay a surety of Rs. 50,000 and to surrender his passport. Not only this, reports further say that Suraj will have to report to Juhu Police station every alternate day.

Talking about Jiah Khan's suicide case, justice Sadhna Jadhav said- "It was an unfortunate incident that a young girl (Jiah) has committed suicide. She must have been impulsive and he (Suraj) cannot be held solely responsible for it."

The Bombay High Court have also mentioned that the six page note given to police by Jiah's mother, Rabia Amin Khan, cannot be considered as Jiah Khan's suicide note, as there is no particular name mentioned in it. Also, the note does not have any specific date. The court also said that Jiah was not forced to be in a relation with Suraj Pancholi. It was her own choice and the fact that Jiah Khan had suicidal tendencies can not be ignored completely.

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, who made her debut with Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd opposite superstar Amitabh Bachchan, committed suicide on 3rd June, by hanging herself in her Juhu apartment.
