Truth behind Mallika Sherawat's non bailable warrant

By Puri

A while ago, it was reported that a legal case has been filed against Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat, by the president of Baroda Bar Association. And he filed this case against Mallika over an obscenity act. It was also said a non-bailable warrant has been issued against Ms Sherawat. But now, Mallika's legal team has sent a statement which says that the 'warrent' report was incorrect.

The Official statement regarding the non bailable warrant against Mallika Sherawat says, " The recent news reports in relation to the orders of the trial court at Baroda in connection with a criminal compliant have incorrectly reported that 'non-bailable warrants have been issued in the name of Mallika Sherawat. The complaint was filed several years ago and a petition quashing of the same was filed before the Hon'ble Gujarat High Court in 2007 in which the orders were pronounced in early 2013".

Mallika's legal team also clarified that she received no summon, "In the meantime it is clarified that no summons were served upon her since she had not been in India and upon the application of the complainant no 'non-bailable warrants' were issued. We have not yet received the formal orders passed by the court at Baroda."
